Some of the world’s top experts on alcohol abuse and public policy was gathered in Brazil to discuss ways of reducing the harmful effects of alcohol on public health in the Americas. The 1st Pan American Conference on Alcohol Public Policies, sponsored by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Government of Brazil, took place Nov. 28-30, 2005.
